Workplace Matters is a section devoted to issues in the workplace. It is about being the best that you can be in matters of work, relating to others, getting your job done and professional growth and development. It will offer suggestions and ideas about what could be expected of you, be a reminder of what you already know, or add additional information to the skill sets you already have. It offers information that I hope will level the playing field all the way around and provide answers to the questions I’ve been asked by people on all levels about why they weren’t called for that promotion or being asked to participate in this thing or that. Over and over again, I found people just did not have the information they needed. This includes managerial, supervisory and executive staff, and there is attention paid to providing information there also. All sections come from my own direct and indirect experience, the priceless information I’ve received from teachers, supervisors, colleagues, supervisees, clients, people from all disciplines, family, friends, strangers and learning from my own mistakes.
Sections here include: Get a Seat at the Table, Steam Shifters, Free Your Mind2, Oriented x’s 10 and Communication.
