I’ve always thought sensitivity and creativity go hand in hand. Some of us have a more extreme case than others of us. If you’ve got it really bad, you know it, and if you’re not expressing yourself whoa! The ache is nagging. If you’re not engaged in it at all, you’re probably being present to half yourself or if you’re like me, it could get even worse. It could mean, if you’re not doing any art at all, you’re doing mostly things you’re expected to do, with little room or time left to participate in what nourishes you.
This all boils down to making room for “work” and our hobbies. It means giving ourselves an opportunity for creative expression. The merge between self care, wellness, work and art to me are inseparable. I’ve also learned that a good 85% to 90% of people I’ve met along the way are artistic, creative people – and not mildly. As anyone you know and they’ll probably tell you about an artistic talent they have and are not using or practicing…shame. Let’s level that playing field too.
This section is devoted to the process for all of us.
